The tour takes you on a bike path from Gstaad to Lauenen. It is worth taking a detour to this charming mountain village, noted for its old, well-preserved chalets and 16th-century church. From Lauenen, the route leads up to the idyllically situated Lake Lauenen. Follow the gravel road along the beautiful lake until you reach the road in direction to Lauenen. Return to Gstaad on the same route.

  • Approach

    The Destination Gstaad is located in the south-west of Switzerland right on the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The Destination is easily accessed by rail or car from the regions around Lake Thun and Lake Geneva and the Gruyere region Direct connections to the European high-speed rail network and all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant journey. The main means of transport in the destination of Gstaad are the "MOB" (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) train and numerous post bus lines.

    Recommendation for the journey to Lake Lauenen:
    On foot, by post bus or by bicycle from the village of Lauenen
    By car: Parking with limited capacity. Once the car park is full, the road will be closed

  • Gstaad - Lauenen - Lauenensee - Lauenen - Gmünte - Gstaad

  • On Sundays and during holiday season many hikers and walkers are to be expected around lake Lauenen.
