Karin Künzle's novel LAURALEI (2021, orte Verlag) is set in both Toggenburg and Appenzell. The legendary world of the Säntis and folk music are important elements of the story. This gave rise to the idea of delving deeper into the story with instruments and singing, which characterise the book.

The participants want to convey the essence of the novel with various elements of text and music. The music is just as important an element as the spoken word. Selected passages from the novel will be reproduced, interpreted and paraphrased through music, song and words in order to bring the story of Lina and Laura to life.
