Autumn concert - concert association Zweisimmen

The Zweisimmen Concert Association organizes several church concerts every year, including the “February Concerts” and the two “December Concerts” by the Cantate Choir Zweisimmen.

Gioachino Rossini, one of the most famous composers of “bel canto”, the jocular opera, also wrote sacred music in his later years, including the beautiful “Petite Messe Solennelle”. It is considered the most important work of his last phase of work and one of his most important sacred compositions. It was composed in Passy (Paris) in 1863, 34 years after the composition of his last opera “Guillaume Tell”. The first public performance in 1864 at the Théâtre-Italien in Paris was a great success. It will be a very special experience for the choir and soloists to be accompanied by Reto Reichenbach on the piano and Wojtek Wesranowski on the harmonium.
