The 6th edition of Elevation 1049 opens on 1 February 2025 in and around Gstaad. Curated by Stefanie Hessler, Director of the Swiss Institute in New York, the exhibition centres on the theme of "Energies." Featuring works by 14 international artists and collectives, it spans two indoor venues—the Carpentry in Schönried and the Station in Saanen—as well as outdoor installations.
The exhibition explores global energy issues and climate change, which is acutely felt in the Alps. Through critical and poetic approaches, the participating artists invite audiences to reimagine collective and sustainable visions for the future of energy.
