Restaurant Alti Poscht, Posthotel Rössli
Older residents still remember the «alti Poscht» or old Post Office, when post was still brought to the premises and letters and parcels were sent out in coaches from here into the valleys. The Post Office then became a restaurant, where countless family celebrations and parties have since taken place. The «alti Poscht» was later renovated, with great respect for the traditional timber style of the restaurant. Small parties or functions for up to 80 people take place here, and the venue gives your event a special, local flavour.
The «alti Poscht» is the perfect place for a cosy get-together, not too large, with all the charm of traditional Saaner interior style and the personal attentiveness of the waiting staff. Thanks to chef Werner von Allmen, long-forgotten traditional Saanenland dishes are back on the menu. Guests will love the exquisitely prepared local produce. The hosts, kitchen staff and waiters are always open to creative menu suggestions. In the Posthotel Rössli, no readymade produce is used, with all sauces, soups and other dishes being freshly and traditionally prepared.
