Michael H.W. Schmitz was born in 1972 in Cologne.
In his childhood he spent the winter months in the Swiss mountains. Fascinated by the noble watch shops at the foot of Matterhorn in Zermatt, he started collecting Swiss watches. His passion for watches became so consuming that in 1999 he decided to become an independent dealer of second-hand watches. By participating in numerous watch fairs and auctions, he got to know collectors from Europe, Asia and America.
His enthusiasm for unusual technology and striking design is as alive as ever. His willingness to provide a high level of service and his friendly contact with customers make Michael H.W.
