This trail runs beside the Louwibach as it leads from Gstaad to Lauenen and from there via Fang and the Hintersee up to the Lauenensee. You can ride beside the beautiful lake and continue on to the parking lot. After the bridge over the Gältebach, turn left and ride to the Rossfalleschlucht / Rohr-Öy. Once there, you push your bike over the bridge and pass through Rohr and on to Lauenen. At Alpenland turn left and right again and, from Chüngi, go along the trails beside the stream back to Gstaad.

  • Approach

    The Destination Gstaad is located in the south-west of Switzerland right on the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The Destination is easily accessed by rail or car from the regions around Lake Thun and Lake Geneva and the Gruyere region Direct connections to the European high-speed rail network and all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant journey.

  • Narrow trail at the Rossfalleschlucht. It is best to dismount and walk with your bike.

    This tour is not signposted along the way. Use GPS.

    On Sundays and public holidays there is usually a large number of hikers and walkers on the path around the lake.

  • Mountainbike, clothing and equipment appropriate to the weather, tool kit and first aid kit.

  • Plan a break at Lauenensee (bbq area, swimming or restaurant).
