Share the trail - respect eachother

In the Gstaad holiday region, hikers, mountain bikers and other users largely use the same paths. Tolerance and consideration for each other is therefore important. Mountain bikers slow down to walking pace when overtaking and stop when crossing narrow paths to allow hikers to pass. Hikers accept mountain bikers as equal path users and give way where possible and sensible when they meet. All trail users adhere to the Trail Knigge.

Behaviour in the mountains

Mutual understanding between tourism and agriculture is needed for respectful coexistence in the mountains. After all, hiking trails also lead across pastures with cows. Bikers and hikers often use the same paths.

Thank you for observing our rules and moving in the mountains with respect.

Plan your tour well in advance and make sure you have the right equipment! We recommend saving the emergency number 112 in your mobile phone. We accept no liability for accidents.
