Hiking guides & services

The Gstaad holiday region offers a complete range of hiking services and creates the perfect conditions for a pleasant stay. The hiking guides allow you to experience a tour in a very special way and provide in-depth impressions of the region's nature and culture. Numerous restaurants, mountain huts and hotels as well as alpine taverns and fireplaces invite you to linger. Various public transport options take hikers to the starting points of the hikes and the maps help with planning the tour.

Share the trail - respect each other

In the Gstaad holiday region, hikers, mountain bikers and other users largely use the same paths. Tolerance and consideration for each other is therefore important. Mountain bikers slow down to walking pace when overtaking and stop when crossing narrow paths to allow hikers to pass. Hikers accept mountain bikers as equal path users and give way where possible and sensible when they meet. All trail users adhere to the Trail Knigge.

Mobilität

Thanks to the mountain railways, hiking taxis, private bus companies and public transport, the hiking trail network is well connected. Long hikes can also be shortened if necessary.

With the Gstaad Card, public transport is free from the first overnight stay!

Maps

Get a quick overview of all open facilities, hiking trails and cable cars with our interactive map. The following hiking maps and some others are also available in the tourist offices.

Behaviour in the mountains

Mutual understanding between tourism and agriculture is needed for respectful coexistence in the mountains. After all, hiking trails also lead across pastures with cows. Bikers and hikers often use the same paths.

Thank you for observing our rules and moving in the mountains with respect.

Plan your tour well in advance and make sure you have the right equipment! We recommend saving the emergency number 112 in your mobile phone. We accept no liability for accidents.
