Gstaad Card - Questions for hosts

How many holiday apartment guests can I issue the Gstaad Card for?

The Gstaad Card will be sent to all guests who book your holiday apartment/chalet, be it through Gstaad Saanenland Tourism or via you directly.
If you are a landlord not registered in the municipality where the second home is located, you can obtain annual tickets for yourself and your family (for more information, see «Questions for second home owners»).

Do all guests receive the Gstaad Card if they stay just one night?

Every overnight guest is entitled to a personalised guest card during their stay, from the first night of their stay.

Do dogs also get a Gstaad Card?

No, dogs are not entitled to the Gstaad Card.
Dogs travel free of charge on the cable cars. For public transport, a ticket must be purchased.

What form is the Gstaad Card issued in?

Holiday apartments (only if bookable via Gstaad Saanenland Tourism), Bed & Breakfast as well as test most hotels and campsites:
The guest receives access by email to the «Concierge myGstaad», the digital holiday companion. The guest can activate his/her Gstaad Card(s) in it (see Manual «Creating Gstaad Card»).

The guest will receive the Gstaad card(s) by e-mail from group accommodations*, certain hotels and campsites, from all other landlords, and also in the event that the Gstaad card(s) is/are not activated in the «Concierge myGstaad»**.

*Sending from the feratel CardSystem (see Manual «Creating Gstaad Card_Groups»)
**automatic forwarding at midnight after arrival

For Gstaad Cards sent by e-mail with the corresponding QR code(s), the guest can either:

  • conveniently download it to the smartphone
  • print it out at home

The QR code is scanned by the service providers when the offer is redeemed.

There are two QR codes (1x Gstaad Card & 1 x public transport pass).

How do I issue the Gstaad Cards for my guests?

You can find out how issuing the Gstaad Card works for you as a host (hotel, group accommodation, camping, holiday apartment owner (only with rental through Gstaad Saanenland Tourismus) or bed & breakfast) in the manuals and e-learning videos ().

If you do not rent out your holiday apartment through Gstaad Saanenland Tourismus, you can issue temporary Gstaad Cards for your guests at www.gstaad.ch/gstaadcard-inside under "Second home owners".

Does a Gstaad card have to be issued for each guest?

Yes, a separate personal card must be issued for each guest.
Cards indicating «Guest 1», «Child Müller» etc. are not permitted and will be blocked.

When should the link be sent to the guest?

The host can decide that for themselves. Recommendation: about 1 to 2 weeks before arrival (not too early – unless the guest already needs the Gstaad Card to book an exclusive experience). Read about and book experiences at

Can I issue a «test card» in my own name to get used to the procedure and to go through it as if I were a guest?

Yes, that's possible. You can run through the procedure up to the point where the reservation of the guest card creation is saved. Then delete the pre-registration (the Gstaad card will automatically be invalidated).

Holiday apartments: why can't the pre-check-in link be sent by Gstaad Saanenland Tourism or by Interhome/e-domizil when the booking is made via Interhome and e-domizil?

Gstaad Saanenland Tourism is not allowed to contact these guests directly for data protection reasons (contact always via the booking office). The host may do so, however, because there is a contract between them and the guest.
