For winter sports enthusiasts

A magical fairytale land awakens in winter in the Gstaad holiday region. Eight mountains offer over 200 kilometers of pistes, including the impressive Glacier3000 experience.

For nature lovers

Breathtaking nature experiences also await you in Gstaad in winter. 143 kilometers of and 78 kilometers of snowshoe routes offer adventures for hikers. And for cross-country skiers, there is the fantastic cross-country ski trail on the Sparenmoos. An illuminated night trail from Saanenmöser to Schönried attracts night-time sports enthusiasts.

For families

Gstaad is a true paradise for families, with six learning parks that teach children and beginners how to ski. Wide, easy slopes make skiing fun perfect, and with the Saanis taster ski ticket, families can practise their first turns on selected slopes at a reasonable price. Away from the slopes, Saani's winter playground in Saanenmöser provides fun with slides, tubing and snowball fights, while the ice rink in the village center of Gstaad offers a great alternative to skiing.

For those seeking relaxation

Gstaad offers a variety of first-class : The Alpina Gstaad impresses with its luxurious Six Senses Spa, and the ERMITAGE Wellness & Spa Hotel in Schönried delights with its impressive spa facilities. The Gstaad Palace towers above the snow-covered village, promising peace and relaxation at the highest level. For active relaxation, the Gstaad Sports Centre offers a varied program for the whole family with modern fitness facilities, swimming pools and other sports options.

With 317 points and three Michelin stars, Gstaad is a culinary paradise. From traditional mountain restaurants to gourmet restaurants, there is something for every taste.

For cheese lovers

Gstaad is the heart of cheese production. Over 11,000 cows and 350 farms provide fresh cheese all year round, including the popular fondue in winter. Experience fondue in a special way in Michel's Stallbeizli and explore the cheese grotto deep underground. XXL caquelons are also available for an open-air fondue experience.

For adrenaline junkies

The brave will find their winter paradise in Gstaad: The legendary Black Wall, one of the steepest groomed slopes in the world, awaits you on Glacier 3000. A 265-metre-long tunnel connects the highest points of the ski area and opens up access to new slopes. An additional highlight is the Peak Walk by Tissot, the world's only suspension bridge between two peaks - an incomparable experience with spectacular views of the Alps.

For romantics

A carriage ride through the snow-covered landscape is a magical experience for everyone, not just couples. A visit to the traditional farmhouse “Bochtehuus Beizli” to enjoy a fondue, a delicious soup or a slice of cake.

Good to know

Getting there: The journey to Gstaad is a spectacle in itself: the train ride to Gstaad is very relaxing, you can lean back in your seat and enjoy the view of the spectacular mountains of the Bernese Oberland to the full. The GoldenPass Express connects the Gstaad vacation region with Montreux and Interlaken. Alternatively, the Belle Epoque train makes the journey between Montreux and Zweisimmen a unique experience - with that Orient Express feeling! 

Getting around: From this winter, guests with the Gstaad Card will be able to use public transport on designated routes in the Saanenland and Simmental free of charge 365 days a year. The digital guest card also gives you access to over 80 experiences.
