FINALE WITH THE TRIORARO
For the crowning finale of this year's February concert series
the Trioraro awaits us with melodious works by Haydn,
Senfter and Mendelssohn.
A rich oeuvre
The Berner Klaviertrio began its work in 2008 with the realisation of
complete piano trios by Robert Schumann. This was followed by many
followed, for example for the Bernese composer Peter Streiff, for the piano trios
Beethoven's piano trios, Schubert's late works and the oeuvre of Max Reger
Max Reger, which led to the great rediscovery of his composition pupil Johanna Senfter.
student Johanna Senfter.
The performers
The cellist Matthias Kuhn is well known in our region as the director of the
director of the Youth Music Week at the Menuhin Festival. As a conductor and cellist
cellist, he has performed with many renowned orchestras in Bern, Basel and Zurich,
but also abroad. He is a lecturer at the University of the Arts in
Bern and is a passionate chamber musician.
Alexander Ruef received his training as a concert pianist at the
University of Music in Bern. He was a repetiteur at the Zurich Opera House, but
at the Hanover State Opera, the Opéra national de Paris and also at the
at the Salzburg and Bayreuth Festivals.
The violinist Stefan Meier comes from a Czech family.
He was influenced by playing in string quartets with his three brothers.
After graduating from high school, he was principal violinist in the Oldenburg State Orchestra and
later founded the Prague Rafael Quartet, with which he has performed at many festivals
festivals and realised recordings for radio and CD's. He is
member of the Bern Symphony Orchestra.
Conclusion of the concert series
Next Friday, 23 February, the Trioraro will conclude this year's
February concerts with two marvellous piano trios by Joseph Haydn and
Felix Mendelssohn. As a surprise, the musicians have chosen two delightful
movements by the newly discovered Johanna Senften into the programme. We
be excited, and the organising concert association of
Zweisimmen is naturally hoping for another large audience.
Finally, we would also like to thank our sponsors once again
for their valuable support.
