The hike starts at the Sparenmoos parking lot. Over the slightly ascending Nüjeberg plain, the hiking trail leads to the Schiltenegg Alp. From here the terrain becomes somewhat steeper. Via the wide SE ridge you reach the summit of the Hundsrügg (2047 M.a.s.l.).
In order to continue enjoying the view of the Alps and the imposing Gastlosen chain, we recommend for the descent the path towards Erbetlaub-Seeli. Via Luegle - Erbetlaub and Schiltenegg you get back to the parking lot Sparenmoos. On the way back shortly after Schiltenegg it is worth making a detour to the mountain restaurant Nüjeberg, which offers delicious and fine delicacies from the alp.
The route mainly follows the Switzerland Mobility Route 314. There is an option to add an extra loop: After Nujeberg, the route continues to Ebernegg and then over the ridge to Hundsrügg. This extends the tour by approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Switzerland Mobility Route
From Sparenmoos you can either hike down the last 4 km to Zweisimmen, take the hiking taxi, or rent a scooter at Site Alp and enjoy an exciting ride back to the Zweisimmen train station.
