From Gstaad the first section of this route leads via Saanen into the "Chalberhöni Valley". The route continues to climb up to Alp Eggli. From here the descent begins along the gravel road "Hindereggliweg" and Tschaanereweg". At the next turn-off to the asphalt road, turn sharp left and follow the "Flüemadstrasse" and "Meielsgrundstrasse" down to Grund in zig-zag. The route continues on the "Bodenstrasse" back to Gstaad. The electric bike makes the ascent to the Eggli easier. At the top, a beautiful mountain panorama rewards the effort of the ascent. The route is very easy to drive in both directions.
For experienced singletrail-fans, we recommend the alternative trail directly under the mountain railway via Chälweid back to Gstaad. In spring and autumn, you can also reach the Eggli by bike via a comfortable cable car.
