From Zweisimmen train station, you can comfortably reach the starting point Heimchueweid by bus. Here begins the 2.5 kilometer long moderate and winding piste. It is almost entirely located in the forest. Upon arrival at the Obegg bus stop, you can either take the bus or walk back to the train station - or climb back up to the start again.

About a 1 km walk from the Obegg bus stop (end of sledding path) to the train station (alternatively, a bus is also available).

Those who have more time can start the sledding descent at Sparenmoos. The route from Sparenmoos to Heimchueweid leads over snow-covered meadows and through forest sections. It is not very steep and is well suited for families.

  • Approach

    The holiday region Gstaad is located in the southwest of Switzerland, right on the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The region is conveniently accessible by train or car from the Thun lake region, the Geneva lake area, and the Greyerz region. Direct connections to the European high-speed train network and to all international airports of Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant arrival. The main means of transport in the Gstaad region are the "MOB" railway (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) and numerous postbus lines.

  • Take the train to Zweisimmen. Then take the Sparenmoos bus to Heimchueweid.
