Mike von Grünigen, Swiss ski star and one of the best giant slalom skiers of all time, moved ski racing and sports fans all over the world for 14 years in the World Cup. He won 23 World Cups, 2 World Championships and 4 Giant Slalom titles until he retired from active ski racing in 2003 at the peak of his career.
With his brilliant skiing technique, he gave the sport a new name and set a milestone in development at that time.
