Challenging mountain hike from Fermeltal to Höuweggli at the foot of the Spillgerte and to the Mieschflue viewpoint. Followed by a stony descent from Ussere Höuweggli to Gandbodewald and back to Fermeltal via Dachboden.

  • Approach

    Approach Matten (St. Stephan) via Thun - Wimmis. In Matten, follow the signs to Fermeltal.

  • By train from Bern via Zweisimmen to Matten/St. Stephan. Then take a cab to Stalden/Fermeltal. Check the timetable with the SBB.

  • Parking spaces are located on the schoolyard of the former Fermel school building, approx. 600 m into the valley (from the start of the hiking trail) on the left-hand side, slightly elevated. ATTENTION: The parking spaces at the Restaurant Alpenrose are reserved exclusively for guests!

  • Stalde - Höuweggli - Mieschflue - Ussers Höuweggli - Gandbodenwald - Dachboden - Stalde
